What do you think?

What kit can you make your teddy?

(With apologies to Facebook). Right now I’m thinking about what to feed the children, is the obsession with the PC game howrse an OK activity, why are there two unrelated children in my house (Ned, 6 and Nell, 9) having asthma attacks…

But what I’d really like to ask you is what do you think of the front cover of my soon-to-be-published book, Homemade Kids: thrifty, creative and eco-friendly ways to raise children? I’d also love you to share the ways your kids have eyed up a particular toy and then had a go making their own.  The witty teddy with i-Pod on the book’s cover reminds me of when Nell was 7 and furiously jealous of her sister finding a pink, taking, toy mobile phone at a car boot sale. In a bid for one upmanship she found some paper, an old giant match box and some sellotape and then created her own Blackberry. Her homemade paper phone kept her happy for days, especially as the rest of her family were still using much more old fashioned models.
